I do not think that they are that similar except for the fact that they both are crazy! they are different because Mrs. Dubose is a human not a dog. And Mrs. Dubose does not have rabies and the dog did.
ReplyDeletea mad dog and mrs. Dubose are similar because they both lost there mind. mrs. Dubose lost her mind because she was addicted to drug most of her older adult life because she was in pain. the dog was crazy because it was in pain because the dog had rabies. there similar because they where both in pain.
ReplyDeleteMrs. Dubose and the mad dog are similar because they both get in pain. Mrs. Dubose was attracted to a drug and (lost her mind) and the dog was very sick and had rabies. Mrs. Dubose and mad dog was in a lot of pain so that whats it makes them similar. The pain made each of them do well the pain made Mrs.Dubose feel want to pass out and the pain makes the dog feel almost dead and has no energy.
ReplyDeleteMrs.Dubose and a mad dog are similar because they both need medicine and in a ton of pain. Now thanks to the pain they both can not think straight. The dog might end up bitting somebody or somebody getting hurt.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Dan that both Mrs.Dubose and the dog are both comepleatly insane.
ReplyDeleteMrs. Dubose and the dog were similar. They both caused trouble to the neighborhood. Also, Attacus took care of both of them, by being polite to Mrs. Dubose and by putting the dog out of it's misery.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Jessie, they both did cause a lot of trouble in the neighborhood and Atticus was polite to them.
ReplyDeleteMrs. Dubose is very similar to the dog. They are similar because both of them are going through a lot of pain. So much pain that the dog and her probably don't even know what they are doing.
ReplyDeleteI also agree with Jessie R. because both of them were causing some trouble in the town. But to keep the peace, Atticus is polite to Mrs. Dubose, and he puts the dog out of his misery.
ReplyDeletethe difference is you can shoot the dog not Mrs.Dubose that has a deeper meaning than just that.2
ReplyDeleteThey are different because Mrs. Dubose was mean, but she never hurt anybody, whereas the dog was dangerous.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Dan because they were both crazy, but Mrs. Dubose had control over what she was doing and she was just using her anger and pain as an excuse to be mean to the kids.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Dan that the mad dog and Mrs. Dubose are both in pain. But Mrs. Dubose had control for her pain.
ReplyDeleteMrs.Dubose and the mad dog are somwhat the same they both are in misery. Mrs. D in misery beaciuse of the drug addiction and the dogs in misery because of the rabies. Mrs.d takes her misery on the kids were the dog has no one to take it out on. They are differnt because the dog wouldn't hurt anybody but mrs.D does, she hurts the kids bby syaing all the meen things to them
ReplyDeletethe mad dog and Mrs. Dubose are have some similar traits like they both frighten some people also some people might not like them, also Mrs. Dubose's mind is not as a normal persons would be considering that she is dealing with her morphine addiction like Sarah R said. If you compare the morphine addiction to the mad dogs rabies then they are similar.
ReplyDeleteI think they are alike because they both had alot of problems . for example Mrs.Dubose was always getting high and she was always taking drugs , the dog was sick and had rabies . When Mrs.Dubose was trying to stop taking the drugs she was suffering and always upset and angry and also the dog was suffering from his sickness . They are both diffrent because she started taking the drugs and the dog was not taking anything and also she is not a dog she is human and she is responiable for her actions and what she does with her life .
ReplyDeleteMrs. Dubose and the mad dog are both slightly similar. Both the dog and Mrs. Dubose are crazy in the head. The dog is because of rabies and the lady is from being a morphine addict. The dog was a threat to the children's safety but Mrs. Dubose supposedly was to because someone started a rumor that she hides a hand gun under her shawl's. Both were aggressive one physically and the other mentally. Those are the reasons that the dog and Mrs. Dubose were similar to eachother.
ReplyDeleteMrs.Dubose and a mad dog are both similar because they both are kind of "not all there". Mad dogs are a threat to everyone and Mrs.Dubose isn't actually a threat to everyone. She just kind of crazy and she could be dangerous. That's how they can be different because she isn't really a threat to anyone like a mad dog is but, she could be.
ReplyDeleteThe dog and Mrs. Dubose were similar because both of them were sick and died. Also, Atticus helped them both out. However they are different because the dog was out of control while Mrs. Dubose had control over her anger, she just used it as an excuse to be mean to the kids.
ReplyDeleteI don't think that mad dog and MRS. Dubose are similar except for 1 thing is that they both need medicine and they are both crazy. They are different because the dog went out of control and MRS.Dubose had control over her anger ,but she just used it for an excuse to be mean to the kids.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Chace that the dog and MRS. Dubose both need medicine and should be put out for their misery so they wouldn't be in pain anymore.
ReplyDeleteThe two are quite similar in some ways. They both were very sick. How ever the dog had no control of his actions and Mrs. Dubose did have some what control.
ReplyDeleteMrs. Dubose and the rabid dog are infact similar, they both were crazy and both disrupted the neighborhood. Also, they both had a reason for being crazy... as the dog had rabies and Mrs. Dubose had a morphine addiction (which was part of the reason she was so antagonistic).
ReplyDeleteTo Alyson's comment, "The two are quite similar in some ways. They both were very sick. How ever the dog had no control of his actions and Mrs. Dubose did have some what control." I agree with you on the fact that they both were very sick, but I think Mrs. Dubose was antagonistic due to her addiction (which is a disease) and therefore barely had any control; I think she simply had to pour her pain into others, but had no control over it.
ReplyDeleteGood point Edward I have to second that. They both could not help their sickness and it did cause them to act strange.
ReplyDeleteMrs. Dubose is a very messed up and crazy, just like the dog that was rabbed. Altough, Mrs. Dubose is only mad do to the fact that she isn't taking her drugs as much. She must be really addicted to it if it makes her that unsensitve.
ReplyDeleteI disagree with Shalala because they had other things that were the same about them. They were both crazy,( as you said) but they also were annoying the neighborhood. So I stand as they are alike in ways but not in all.
ReplyDeleteShalala, i diagree with you because they are similar, like you said they were both crazy but they had a lot more things in common than just "both crazy". And you just said what AnneT.
ReplyDeleteBesides the fact that both of them are sick and posibly in pain and crazy, there really isn't much similar. What I find interesting is that she is compared to a mad dog.
ReplyDeleteI also agree with Daniel's comment, "a mad dog and mrs. Dubose are similar because they both lost there mind." This makes both crazy and also feared by others.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Edward. Mrs. Dubose disrupted the neighbors by antagonizing them. The rabid dog disrupted them by putting the whole community in danger.
ReplyDeleteMrs. Dubose and the mad dog are similar because they both became crazy. The difference between them though, is that the dog had lost his mind to the point where he was a danger to surrounding people and had to be killed. Mrs. Dubose, however, is only a danger to herself and died by accident.
ReplyDeleteI disagree with William Lynch saying they're both feared because Mrs. Dubose is not feared, just not liked and she's kind of intimidating.
ReplyDeleteMs. Dubose and a mad dog are similar because both are considered crazy and no one wants to be around them.
ReplyDeletei disagree with Dtripanier because I think they are both feared, just not in the same way.
ReplyDeleteSimilar by a mad dog who is out of his mind and has a problem and if a boy or girl named Jem and scout get bit they have the diesease that the dog has. Mrs. Dubose has a gun in her shwalls and is mad and in sane. ok.. similar by 1,both crazy. and 2 out of there mind. they are deadly.
ReplyDeleteYes, i agree with most of the people on this thread that Mrs. Dubose, and the crazy dog are similar. Having a drug addiction is obviously not good. She can stand out though, she stopped taking Morphine to have a sober death. The mad dog, sure is crazy, but if you look at it what a human can control and what a crazy dog can control are a whole different perception. Yet, she did realize her problem, sure the withdrawal effects took action, but she realized it and, stopped. A dog cannot control/think like a human can.
ReplyDeleteI think the mad dog and Mrs. Dubose are very similar, but also different! Mrs. Dubose and the dog are both wild, hard to controle. They are both scary to be around. Afterall, who would want to be around a dog who has rabies or a women high on Morphine? No one! They are different because a dog can not controle what he puts into his body, whereas a human can.
