I dont think that a mad dog and Mrs. Dubose are very similar. yes, both of them attack people, not in the same fashion, but Mrs. Dubose lashes out because she is in pain due to addiction withdrawals. The dog attacks because he is truly insane! the two contrast more than they compare.
ReplyDeleteMrs.Dubose and a mad dog are similiar because they like to attack people and get under peoples skin but Mrs.Dubose goes after the little things to say to get someone really mad but then there is a difference because Mrs.Dubose really doesn't attack you physicilly she attacks up mentally getting under you skin. It doesn't help he either that she is a drug addict so most of this i feel is from her problem
ReplyDelete@Holly i agree with how the two cotrast more than the two compare. The reason is because like I said the dog physicilly attacks but Mrs.Dubose mentally attacks people.
ReplyDeleteA mad dog and Mrs.Dubose are very similar. They both have no control over what they do. They have something else affecting their thinking so they do things other people might see as crazy or rude.
ReplyDeleteThe mad dog and Mrs.Dubose are pretty similar. Neither Mrs. Dubose or the mad dog have much control over what they do. They are both acting out becuase of their pain.
ReplyDeletei think that mrs dubose and the dog are somewhat similar but you can take back an addiction you cant take back rabbies. so i think that mrs dubose has a choice but the dog was to to far in the process tyo stop
ReplyDeletei disagree with lauren because mrs dubose can have control over her actions but i thinkl it is more of her decision
ReplyDeleteMrs. Dubose and a mad dog are somewhat similar. They both are scary and they both were being mean because of the pain they were in. But they are also different. Mrs.Dubose mentally hurts people but the mad dog pysically hurts people.
ReplyDeleteOpps my comment was supposed to be in mod three
ReplyDeleteHunter, I agree that Mrs.Dubose finds the little things that make people mad. While she may not physically attack people like a mad dog, Mrs.Dubose attacks people mentally.
ReplyDeleteI think that a mad dog and Mrs. Dubose are similar because they were both in a lot of pain and didn't really control what they said or did. While Mrs. Dubose was trying to quit her morphine addiction she insulted people or hurt people without thinking properly because of her withdrawl symptoms. The dog would attack people because the disease made him insane.
ReplyDeleteMrs. Dubose is like the mad dog in the sense that they are both out of their right mind and are clueless as to what they are doing. However, Mrs. Dubose is making herself high. A mad dog doesn't have a choice. Also, the mad dog isn't trying to hurt or insult people. Mrs. Dubose is, though.
ReplyDeleteLauren I agree with you. People are going to see Tom Johnson and Mrs. Dubose as insane. However, Mrs. Dubose is insane by choice (she chose to do morphine.) Tom was just ill.
ReplyDeleteI believe that Mrs. Dubose and a mad dog are very similar. They are both mad, in pain, and sick. Even though a mad dog is ill from rabies and Mrs. Dubose is ill from morphine, they both want the pain to go away and there isn't much either of them can do about it.
ReplyDeleteDaniel, I see where you're coming from. However, you can't control addiction. Mrs. Dubose did indeed choose to do morphine at first, but after time, she became addicted and had no control over it. If she could control it, she would have quit sooner.
ReplyDeleteI think that Mrs. Dubose and the mad dog are similar. They are both suffering sicknesses and are in pain. They are both crazy, too. They attack people in different ways though.
ReplyDeleteI disagree with Daniel. Mrs. Dubose choose to become addicted to something. And the only reason she is becoming high is to relieve her pain.
ReplyDeleteMrs. Dubose and the mad dog are similar because they both attack people. However, Mrs. Dubose attacks people mentally and the mad dog physically attacks.
ReplyDeleteI disagree with Lauren, Mrs. Dubose does have some control in what she does and the mad dog does not.
ReplyDeleteSam L. made a point that the dog and Mrs. Dubose were both suffering from sickness. I'd have to disagree with that. The dog, yes, was sick, however, Mrs. Dubose was suffering from withdrawals, which is a completely different thing.
ReplyDeleteI think that Mrs. Dubose and the dog have a some what similar situation, but not completely. Withdrawals and being rabid are two different things, although they both had to suffer horribly.
ReplyDeleteMrs. Dubose and the mad dog are both are in excruciating pain. They are both going out of there mind from the pain. But Mrs. Dubose is in pain because of withdrawal symptoms and the mad dog is in pain because he has rabies.
ReplyDeleteKaeli, i agree with you because both the mad dog and Mrs. Dubose were in a lot of pain and they couldn't stop it. But for Mrs. Dubose the pain would go away after some time from being off the drug.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you Kaeli. Both the mad dog and Mrs. Dubose are mad from the pain. But Mrs. Dubose isn't ill from the morphine but the withdrawal symptoms from not taking the morphine.
ReplyDeleteDaniel, I agree with Kaeli that they may have both been sick but Mrs. Dubose wasn't trying to offend the children. I think it was just something she did to keep herself entertained.
ReplyDeleteMrs Dubose and the mad dog have some similarities. For example they are suffering either from an illness or from withdrawal. They might be suffering from different things but they are still suffering.
ReplyDeleteI agree with SamL but what she forgot to mention is that why they are in pain or why are they crazy. They are both inn pain because either of addiction or illness
ReplyDeleteI think a mad dog and mrs Dubose are similar in some ways, they are both in pain and mentally sick. Although they attack people in different ways
ReplyDelete@kyle I agree with you but what are some of the different things they are suffering from?
ReplyDeleteMrs.Dubose and a mad dog are simular because they both like to attack things. One difference is that mrs.Dubose only attacks people with worlds not like a mad dog
ReplyDelete@ALEX i agree with you on the part abour wwere they were in excrusheatingpain.I I know if i was in alot of pain i wouldnt be happy
ReplyDeleteJarod, I dissagree with you. Mrs.Dubose and the mad dog don't like to attack people. They're illness's cause them to lash out.
